Day 12: Kanazawa to Takayama
Day 12 left Kanazawa from Kanazawa Station. The route into Gifu passed through mountain valleys and the Shirakawa-go area before reaching Takayama.
After arriving at Takayama Station, we checked in at Mercure Hida Takayama and went out into the old town streets.
The afternoon stayed around central Takayama, with shopfronts, narrow streets, the river area, and festival-float displays.
In the evening, we were back near the station and hotel area for dinner before returning to Mercure Hida Takayama.
