Day 11: Kyoto to Kanazawa

Day 11 moved the trip on from Kyoto to Kanazawa. The morning started around Kyoto Station, with a transfer through Tsuruga before arriving at Kanazawa Station.

Kanazawa began with the station area and Omicho Market. The market gave the arrival a better first scene than a simple hotel transfer: stalls, seafood displays, and the feeling of being immediately in a different city.

After that, the day moved through Kanazawa’s central sights and green spaces: Kanazawa Castle Park, Kenrokuen, water, stone walls, gates, and landscaped paths around the castle-and-garden area.

The evening came back toward the hotel and station side of the city. Hotel Nikko Kanazawa became the new base, and dinner was at Hokuriku Seafood Kanazawa Oden Kairiki, a seafood and oden stop near Hokutetsu Kanazawa Station.
