Day 10: Yamazaki and Kyoto

Day 10 was built around Yamazaki. The main visit was the Suntory Yamazaki Distillery and Yamazaki Whisky Museum area, with a long enough stop for it to be the day’s anchor rather than just a quick detour.

That gave the morning and early afternoon a very different texture from the temple, garden, and station days around it. The visit moved through displays, production spaces, barrel-room scenes, and tasting-style material, all clustered around Yamazaki.

After Yamazaki, the route came back into Kyoto. There was a later stop around Karasuma Oike before the day returned to the Kyoto Station and Kyoto Tower area.

The evening stayed close to the hotel side of Kyoto again, with dinner at Mushi to Ate Fufuu Kyoto Ekimae and one more night at The Thousand Kyoto before the next day’s move to Kanazawa.
